A note from the developer, please introduce yourself
Hi, I built CBLEsim and I run it, and I am also a candidate, aiming for the spring 2027 sitting. I have not sat the exam yet, so treat my answers like anyone else's and check the cite.
Short version of why the site exists. When I started studying I could not find anything that practiced the way the actual electronic exam works, so I built that for myself and kept going. It has been public since the end of July. The community was the piece I wanted most and put off longest, because a forum only works if real people show up. So this is me showing up first.
One thing months inside the question bank did teach me: the same handful of 19 CFR parts come back on every sitting. If you have not spent real time in parts 111, 141, 152, 159 and 174 yet, that is a fine place to put your next week. Most of my own study time right now is going into the parts that keep showing up over and over, and I am nowhere near done with them.
Here is how I am going to use this place, and it is the same way I hope you do. When I hit a drill question I cannot reason my way through, I am going to press Discuss this question and post it with where I got stuck. Some of those posts are going to make it obvious what I do not know yet. Good. If you can explain it, please do, and cite the section so the next person can check you.
Reply here and tell me three things: which sitting you are aiming for, roughly where you are, and the topic that scares you most. I read every reply. If it is something I have a decent grip on I will say so, and if it is something I am also stuck on, we can open a thread on it and work it out with whoever else turns up.
If something on the site is broken, or you think a question in the bank has the wrong answer marked, tell me. Reply here or send me a message. The bank comes from CBP's published exams and answer keys, but it is big, and I would rather hear about a bad one from you than not at all.

I was trying to post this into a discussion thread but had difficulty doing so. It would not submit. Anyhow, I have noticed in the recent exams that there are hardly any questions about FTAs. Any insights as to why?

Thanks for pointing this out. if you didnt include a header and only had a body, the post button remains greyed out and will not submit.
The Post button switched off when the title field was empty or under three characters, and it never said so. You wrote your question in the body, the button went dead, and nothing told you why. That is fixed as of a few minutes ago. It now tells you what it wants instead of leaving you to guess.
Please try posting it as its own thread when you get a minute. It should work now, and I want to know if it does not.
